To celebrate the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals in September, DSW is launching an Instagram photo competition from August 19th to September 23rd.
Under the #BeTheChange2015 banner, we want to invite you to share with us photo stories of positive impacts that have moved you over recent years and that continue to amaze you. These could be photos that have had a personal impact on your life, your community or your country in the last decade; essentially, photos that best capture our achievements under the umbrella of global development in recent years.
#BeTheChange2015: how to enter?
You are invited to share your photo(s) and stories with us using one of three methods:
– Instagram (direct): click onto DSW’s new Instagram account and upload a photo with the hashtag #BeTheChange2015
– Facebook: We have a special Facebook app! Click on the link and upload there.
– Competition website: Click on http://iconosquare.com/contests/bethechange and upload there using competition hashtag #BeTheChange2015
#BeTheChange2015: how to win?
Once a week, we will choose a photo of the week, and on September 23rd, an overall winner will be chosen by DSW. This will be announced at the UN General Assembly in New York on September 25th. The winner will receive a Canon D-SLR camera to the value of $1,000!
The competition is open to anyone, around the world, in the North and in the South, over the age of 16. They can work for an NGO or international organisation or have no connection with the sector at all. We are particularly interested in engaging young people to tell us their stories and their experiences through photos.
