What an exciting second day in Kigali! While some of us were busy at booth 41 chatting with visitors from all over the world, others started the day right on stage.

George Ouma, DSW Kenya, kicked off a morning session on youth and reproductive health: “In Kenya, many teachers and parents view sexuality as a taboo topic”. His solution: adolescent-friendly SRH material and improved communication between parents and youth.

Feyera Essefa, DSW Ethiopia’s country director, made a strong case linking family planning to environmental protection. Clearly, a sustainable lifestyle means not only taking responsibility of our own health, but also of our planet!

What is more, our heroic Caroline from Action4Health Uganda (former DSW Uganda) not only celebrated her success in FP work but also her first cover photo! She was thrilled, and so were we!

Speaking of heroic, we had some very interesting guests at our stand: fully masked superheroes! (You still might recognise someone…) Check out our video to find out what their superpowers are, and make sure to follow us here and on social media for our next highlights!
